Of Course, When I Say That Human Nature Is Gentleness, It Is Not 100 Percent So. Every Human Being Has That Nature, But There Are Many People Acting Against Their Nature, Being False.

My Call For A Spiritual Revolution Is Not A Call For A Religious Revolution. Nor Is It A Reference To A Way Of Life That Is Somehow Otherworldly, Still Less To Something Magical Or Mysterious. Rather It Is A Call For A Radical Reorientation Away From Our Habitual Preoccupation With Self. It Is A Call To Turn Toward The Wider Community Of Beings With Whom We Are Connected, And For Conduct Which Recognizes Others' Interests Alongside Our Own.

Hard Times Build Determination And Inner Strength. Through Them We Can Also Come To Appreciate The Uselessness Of Anger. Instead Of Getting Angry Nurture A Deep Caring And Respect For Troublemakers Because By Creating Such Trying Circumstances They Provide Us With Invaluable Opportunities To Practice Tolerance And Patience.

If The Situation Was Such That There Was Only One Learned Lama Or Genuine Practitioner Alive, A Person Whose Death Would Cause The Whole Of Tibet To Lose All Hope Of Keeping Its Buddhist Way Of Life, Then It Is Conceivable That In Order To Protect That One Person It Might Be Justified For One Or 10 Enemies To Be Eliminated If There Was No Other Way.
